Erasure Love Poems
1-2pm
$20
Julie Hampton
If you struggle with coming up with original love poems for your sweetheart, here's a technique that will have you creating poems that speak from your heart, but don't have you staring for hours at a blank page. Erasure poems use already existing text from old books, magazines, and other printed matter. The poet intuitively "erases" the words on the page that don't resonate. What's left is an expression of love that rings true for the poet. The words can be kept in their original format on the page or reformatted onto a new page with original lines, punctuation and enjambment. Come find out what your heart wants to say in a world of existing words.
