Ephemera Crawl on 7th Avenue in Phoenix |
| |
Saturday, 19 November, 9am-2pm
Public $40
We had such a great time on the first crawl we are doing it again! We are going to explore the 7th Avenue antique district in downtown Phoenix. Come join Carol Panaro-Smith and Josie Cirincione for an afternoon of antiquing.
Vintage ephemera and found objects are a great source of inspiration to mixed media artists. The field trip objective is to learn how to see objects in another light beyond their obvious intended use. Ephemera can be anything from torn photographs, ticket stubs, labels, dimensional objects, and other discarded bits. We will start the day off at Copper Star Coffee shop. From there we will venture along 7th Avenue making our way through several antique stores including Melrose Vintage a furniture and paper store. As we wander through each store we will explore and discuss a variety of ephemera. We will end the afternoon by driving to our last destination and then off to an amazing lunch at either LUX or Pane Bianco.
