Josie will talk about the different tools and accessories that accompany the Cuttlebug, an amazing tool that die cuts and embosses a variety of media. She will show you how to apply those techniques to actual projects using thin-gauged metal sheeting (aluminum and copper), cardstock, and found papers (ephemera).The purpose of the demo is to show people how to take the Cuttlebug out of the scrapbooking arena into the realm of craft and fine art.

Let’s face it, who doesn’t like rubber stamps? But where do you find cool ones and what are the many different ways they can be used. Josie will demonstrate basic rubber stamping techniques, masking, and embossing and have a variety of samples available that show how to apply each technique to a finished project. She will also discuss and give resources for the plethora of rubber stamp images available besides what is on display at the big box craft stores and where one can go to get their own images made into stamps.

I don't know about you but as a kid I couldn't stop staring through the oven door as the paper thin plastic shapes morphed into a shrinky dink. It was mesmerizing and still is. Now I get to play unsupervised. Shrink plastic hasn't changed much over the years. It's what you do with it that has. They also have shrink plastic for ink jet printers. That opens up a whole new world of possibilities.
