THE GALLERY
1) Gallery
The main galleries consist of two rooms with wall space and lighting designed for exhibiting prints. The second story views of the Gilbert Heritage District add to the ambiance of the space. External groups can rent this space for special events.
2) Conference Room
This space for lectures and classes accommodates up to forty students, and as a gallery space; there is always an exhibition on the walls. External groups can rent this space for special events.
3) Kitchenette
A small kitchen area with a breakfast bar, microwave, refrigerator, and single cup coffee machine supports the refreshment needs of events held in the gallery, conference room, and classroom.

BLACK AND WHITE LAB
Black and white film and print developing are alive and thriving at Art Intersection. Here the photographer can develop and print using the gelatin silver process.

6) Alternative Photographic Process Lab
This dedicated space provides the necessary equipment for coating, exposing and developing hand coated emulsion such as cyanotype,
kallitype,
platinum, palladium,
gum bichromate,
and wet plate collodion prints.
7) Digital Imaging Lab
From capture to print, this digital darkroom offers the tools and equipment for the digital photographer. A special focus of this lab is to create digital negatives for black and white and alternative photographic process printing.
8) Classroom
This learning environment supports hands-on workshops, critiques, and lectures.
9) Artist Lounge
Designed as an intimate meeting space with couches and a coffee table for small groups to discuss, critique, and show their work |
